Membership

The services available to club members are described in detail on the facilities, learn to sail and racing pages. Lunenburg Yacht Club is relaxed, friendly and family-oriented, with a variety of social functions designed for the enjoyment of members. Friday night "TGIFs" are a perennial favourite and at least one special event is organized each month during the summer season. A detailed Club calendar, a series of Telltale newsletters and regular e-mail updates keep members informed of activities.

2014 Membership Fees

Senior

Persons 19 years of age and over may be admitted as a Senior Members. Senior Members shall be entitled to all of the privileges of the Club. Senior Members shall be entitled to vote and hold office.

Senior Family

A family with two individuals over 19 years of age and all children under 19 years of age . Both senior members shall be entitled to all of the privileges of the Club and shall be entitled to up to 2 votes and hold office. All children under 19 years of age may be admitted as Junior Members, but they shall not be entitled to vote or hold office, except in a Junior branch of the Club. Junior application forms are to be signed by a parent or guardian and be accepted by the Board of Directors.

Senior with Children

A single parent family unit with an individual over 19 years of age and all children under 19 years of age may be admitted as a Senior with Children. The senior member shall be entitled to all the privileges of the Club and shall be entitled to vote and hold office. All children under 19 years of age may be admitted as Junior members, but they shall not be entitled to vote or hold office except in a Junior branch of the Club. Junior applications must be signed by a parent or guardian and be accepted by the Board of Directors.

Deck

Persons 19 years of age and over may be admitted as a Deck Members. Deck members shall not be entitled to vote or to serve on the Board of Directors. They may, however, serve on Committees. The Deck membership does not include wharf privileges such as dinghy or tender service unless paired with either a Life or Senior Membership

Crew

Persons 19 years of age and over may be admitted as Crew Members. They shall be entitled to all the privileges of the Club on race days for a period of two hours prior to and immediately following a scheduled race.

Student

Persons who are 19 to 24 years of age and are full time students at a post secondary institution may be admitted as Student Members. They shall be entitled to all privileges of the Club, but they shall not be entitled to vote and they shall not be qualified to serve on the Board of Directors. They may, however, serve on Committees.

Junior

Persons who have not reached their 19th birthday may be admitted as Junior Members, but they shall not be entitled to vote or hold office except in a Junior branch of the Club. Junior application forms must be signed by a parent or guardian and be accepted by the Board of Directors.
