MembershipThe services available to club members are described in detail on the facilities, learn to sail and racing pages. Lunenburg Yacht Club is relaxed, friendly and family-oriented, with a variety of social functions designed for the enjoyment of members. Friday night "TGIFs" are a perennial favourite and at least one special event is organized each month during the summer season. A detailed Club calendar, a series of Telltale newsletters and regular e-mail updates keep members informed of activities. 2010 Membership Fees
SeniorPersons 19 years of age and over may be admitted as a Senior Members. Senior Members shall be entitled to all of the privileges of the Club. Senior Members shall be entitled to vote and hold office. SpousalThe spousal membership must be held jointly with a senior membership. The spousal membership has full privileges but they shall not be entitled to vote. DeckPersons 19 years of age and over may be admitted as a Deck Members. Deck members shall not be entitled to vote or to serve on the Board of Directors. They may, however, serve on Committees. The Deck membership does not include wharf privileges such as dinghy or tender service. IntroductoryAny person who has not been a member of the Club within the past five years may be admitted as Introductory Members for one year. Introductory members shall be entitled to all privileges of the Club, but they shall not be entitled to vote and they shall not be qualified to serve on the Board of Directors. They may, however, serve on Committees. IntermediatePersons between 19 and 24 years of age inclusive may be admitted as Intermediate Members. They shall be entitled to all privileges of the Club, but they shall not be entitled to vote and they shall not be qualified to serve on the Board of Directors. They may, however, serve on Committees. CrewPersons 19 years of age and over may be admitted as Crew Members. They shall be entitled to all the privileges of the Club on race days for a period of two hours prior to and immediately following a scheduled race. JuniorPersons who have not reached their 19th birthday may be admitted as Junior Members, but they shall not be entitled to vote or hold office except in a Junior branch of the Club. Junior application forms must be signed by a parent or guardian and be accepted by the Board of Directors. StudentPersons who are 19 to 24 years of age and are a fulltime student at a post secondary institution may be admitted as Student Members. They shall be entitled to all privileges of the Club, but they shall not be entitled to vote and they shall not be qualified to serve on the Board of Directors.
